Selection and installation

Recessed lighting selected for the purpose of each space

Recessed LED luminaires, also known as downlights, are fitted into plasterboard, stretch ceilings and other compatible ceiling systems. Only the trim and light aperture remain visible, allowing the fitting to blend into the interior without taking up visual space. They work as individual light points or as a coordinated group.

We select the solution for the purpose of the room. Living spaces require visual comfort and an appropriate colour temperature; kitchens and work areas need sufficient output and accurate colour rendering; retail and display zones benefit from precise beam control and the ability to highlight selected objects.

MO2DO does more than supply recessed LED lights. We assess the ceiling and electrical installation, help plan the light-point layout, select compatible luminaires and controls, and provide professional installation throughout Lithuania.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before ordering

What should be checked before installing recessed LED lights?

We assess the ceiling construction, available depth, cut-out dimensions, thermal insulation, wiring and possible obstacles above the ceiling. This allows us to select a model that can be installed safely and correctly.

What is the difference between fixed and adjustable recessed lights?

A fixed model emits light in one direction and is often used for general illumination. An adjustable luminaire can direct light towards a worktop, artwork, wall or another feature area.

Can recessed LED lights be used in a bathroom?

Yes, when the correct IP moisture-protection rating is selected for the installation zone. We consider the luminaire’s distance from showers, baths and other water sources.

How many recessed lights does a room need?

Quantity depends on more than floor area. Ceiling height, light output, beam angle, surface colours, layout and the required illumination level must all be considered, so we calculate it for the individual space.

Can recessed LED lights be dimmed?

Yes, provided the luminaire, driver and selected dimmer are compatible. Dimming should be considered when the system is being selected.
