A suitable result depends on more than floodlight wattage. What to know before ordering
Where does sports lighting planning begin?
We start by assessing the facility dimensions, sport, training or competition use, operating intensity, existing columns, electrical infrastructure and surrounding area. This information guides the floodlight positions and technical parameters.
How is even illumination achieved across a sports field?
Total wattage alone is not enough. We coordinate floodlight quantity, mounting height, optics, aiming angles and layout to minimise excessively bright and dark areas across the playing surface.
How is glare for players and spectators reduced?
We select suitable floodlight optics, mounting heights and aiming angles. This concentrates light on the playing area and reduces light entering players’ sightlines, nearby windows or land outside the facility.
Can the lighting be controlled in separate zones?
Yes. Depending on use, the system can include separate lighting groups, training and higher-output modes, timers or other compatible controls. The exact approach is selected for the luminaires and electrical infrastructure.
