Day-and-night blinds
Day-and-night blinds use two fabric layers with alternating sheer and denser horizontal bands. Adjusting their alignment smoothly changes incoming daylight and privacy without raising the complete blind. Fabrics are available in different band widths, densities, textures and colours, from light neutral tones to stronger interior accents. Each blind is made to the individual window dimensions, with an open or cassette system, preferred control side, coordinated mechanism and profile colour, and the most suitable installation method. What to know before ordering
How do day-and-night blinds work?
Two fabric layers move against each other. Aligning the sheer bands admits more daylight, while covering them with denser bands dims the room and increases privacy.
How do day-and-night blinds differ from classic roller blinds?
A classic roller blind mainly controls light by raising or lowering a continuous fabric panel. A day-and-night system changes light transmission by aligning the bands of two fabric layers, so the complete blind does not need to be raised.
Do day-and-night blinds provide complete blackout?
They can significantly reduce light and visibility, but their sheer-band construction and possible edge gaps usually do not equal a dedicated blackout solution. For maximum room darkening, we recommend discussing another fabric or system.
Can these blinds be fitted to the window frame?
Yes, when the window construction allows it. During measurement we assess opening sections, handles and glazing area, then select a proportionate system and suitable fixing method.
