Both are made to the window dimensions, but they control light differently. Start by deciding whether stronger room darkening matters most or whether you want to adjust daylight and privacy without raising the whole blind.

A practical choice
For a bedroom, discuss the level of darkness you need; for a living room, daylight and views from outside; for a study, reflections on screens. Consider more than fabric colour: density, texture and light transmission matter too. Privacy in the evening, with indoor lights on, also depends on the fabric and the position of the blind.
A roller blind can be fitted to a frame, wall or ceiling where the window construction allows it. Before manufacture, we assess opening sections, handles, recesses and space for the fabric roll. The open or cassette system and any side guides are selected for the individual window so the covering does not obstruct its use.
A quotation depends on the number and size of windows, fabric, open or cassette construction, side guides, controls and installation conditions. Photos and approximate dimensions help with the initial discussion. The final solution is agreed after accurate measurement and selection of the specification.
Frequently asked questions
Blackout fabric is designed to block more light, but the fabric name alone does not guarantee total darkness. Light can enter around the edges or through system gaps. If darkness is especially important, we will discuss the fabric, fixing method and possible side guides as a complete solution.
Often, yes: a roller blind controls light, while a screen keeps insects out during ventilation. Compatibility needs to be checked against the opening direction, handle position and space for both systems. Mention any planned insect screen before measurement.
