Interior blinds mainly control daylight, privacy and the appearance of a room. Exterior systems also depend on the façade, solar exposure and installation options. Pleated fabric, tilting slats and a shutter curtain are different constructions, not simply different designs. A practical choice
For views from outside, consider how much privacy you need at different times of day. For interior design, compare wood slats, aluminium and pleated fabric. If solar heat is the issue, discuss an exterior solution. The same type of blind will not necessarily suit every window in a building.
Measurement includes more than glazing dimensions: opening sections, handles, recesses, sills and space for the raised blind all matter. Exterior systems also require assessment of the façade and space for the box and guides. Concealed components and an electrical supply are best considered during construction or renovation.
Price depends on the type, dimensions, slat or fabric properties, controls, system specification and installation complexity. Interior and external blinds solve different tasks, so compare quotations by their purpose and included components, not only the total price.
